Loren Fykes

Work: Endymion K.K. CEO & Founder / Fruits in Suits Japan Executive Director (Japan’s largest LGBTQ Business Professionals Association) / Consultant / Researcher

Loren Fykes is an entrepreneur, consultant/researcher based in Tokyo and consults on complex global projects in the fields of innovation and organizational transformation, change management and leadership communications. His focus is on value creation for venture and nonprofit organizations in three areas: brand and strategic consulting for IT, media, tourism/hospitality and luxury; communications, promotion and fundraising support for nonprofits; and, diversity and inclusion education. Co-founder and CEO of Endymion in May 2013, he is the first American to be funded by Samurai Incubate, one of Japan’s top seed accelerators. After an abortive attempt to launch the social loyalty platform Quchy to help professional associations provide engaging content, events and benefits for members, he pivoted in 2014 to launch Fruits in Suits, the largest LGBTQ business professionals network in Japan. That organization now has 1,500 members and several partners and sponsors.

Fykes regularly collaborates with many local founders on many projects—including Samurai Venture Summit Silicon Valley and Youth Venture Summit Korea—that bring regional entrepreneurs together to discuss international strategy, market entry, pitching, and strategic partnerships. Fykes amassed fifteen years of experience as an investment banker and business development executive for companies such as JP Morgan Chase (formerly Jardine Fleming), MTV Networks, and Turner International, a division of Time Warner.
