Karina has been practicing yoga for 13 years and has been teaching for the past 4 years. As a Certified Yoga Alliance teacher, she teaches Hatha Yoga in the Iyengar tradition, focusing on alignment and taking into account every student’s needs.
In this special evening workshop, Karina will lead us in a beginners’ therapeutic style of yoga using blankets for total relaxation to unwind from our busy day. Using support when doing various postures will allow the body to move towards a state of balance. This practice soothes one’s nervous system and helps quiet the mind, releasing tension all around.
In addition, she will teach us pranayama – a type of yogic breath awareness and regulation exercise designed to help control our vital energies. She will wrap up the evening with a guided meditation to help increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation and enhance our element.
